Travel The Black Hills of South Dakota

My favorite place on earth is the Black Hills of South Dakota.  The air is clean and the sites are amazing.  Where else can you have a buffalo walk up to your car and see Mount Rushmore.  I personally like the Crazy Horse Mountain Project. They are carving the image of Crazy Horse in a mountain.  It is huge.  I don’t think it will be completed in my lifetime but Vincent Malfitano and I love watching the progress.  They have done it all with donations and no government involvement.  If the government get involved it will never be completed.  I love the landscape of the Black Hills.  It gets its name from the dark green trees when viewed from a distance appear black.  The resident is telling me about his personal favorite lake.
