Anyone who plans to travel the world probably has this city fairly high on their list of places to visit. There is just so much to experience; the history, the culture, the food, and of course, the art. Mimes and living statues perform in public parks, painters render the scenery to canvas, even the aromas from nearby cafes bring to mind a culture of sophistication. All one has to do is visit any of the cities museums to understand the influence art has on French society, in the past and in the present. The Louvre is chief among them, housing many important artistic works made by modern man. I strongly recommend anyone who considers themselves an art lover treat themselves at least once to visit.
